Festive make up

Don't you just love that feeling when it's Christmas or NYE and you're in the mood to get dressed and primped for the festive evening all day? I am the kind of person that could spend the whole day doing my make-up and getting ready just for a family occasion. Especially when I have all these beautiful products to play with!

A healthy glow is important for me in any beauty look. That's why I always use my Healthy Glow powder from the Chanel Les Beiges Collection. I use it as a sunpowder just underneath my cheekbones and around the contour of my face, so in a '3' shape. For a festive look I add a lot of MAC MSF Soft & Gentle on top of my cheekbones, I just love how it gives my face a luxurious shimmer and it illuminates so beautifully!
I use a warm pink blush on my cheeks, the Maybelline Face Studio Master in Peach Pop.

I have a lot of palettes to choose from for my eye look. I featured my Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay here, from which I use the colours as a base for a glam look. I mostly combine it with more glittery and brighter colours from other palettes, like my Maybelline The Blushed Nudes one or my old Urban Decay Ammo palette. I can't find it for sale anywhere anymore, but the UD Shadow Box palette is derived from it.

To top off my eye look, I curl my lashes and use mascara. I switch between the extravagant black Urban Decay Perversion and a more subtle, dark brown from Helena Rubinstein.

To make my look extra festive, I just HAVE to go for a red lip. I combine my MAC Cherry lip liner with my new Dior Diorific Mat lipstick in the shade Fabuleuse from the limited edition holiday collection.

This results in a festive look that makes me absolutely happy!

What are your favourite products for a beauty look for the holidays?
