MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick

You may have seen them on a couple of beauty blogs or YouTube channels already: the new MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours. I decided to get one last week during a MAC shopping session because I was really interested in how I would like this rather odd product. I got myself the colour 'Mademoiselle', an orangey nude. Read on for a review!

The packaging isn't too much special, but it is an eyecatcher because it's kind of a paradox: you expect the top of a MAC lipstick on a black packaged lipstick, not on a lipgloss-looking transparent tube.
I absolutely don't like lipgloss, it's something I'm not going to buy because I hate how it looks on me and how sticky it feels. But a liquid lipstick that turns matte? I just had to try that.

And I love it! The brush helps for a really easy applicance, it's the perfect shape to really follow your lip line. At first it thought hmmm, this is a little too liquid... But 20 seconds later it was all (comfortably!) matte.

The lip colour doesn't lay heavy on your lips and stays in place very long. As for the colour, I really like Mademoiselle because I quite into orange shades that have a little nude undertone, but I do think it's more the kind of look to go for in Spring/Summer. I know what I'll be wearing when the sun shows ;)

I'm really happy that I bought this. If I would buy another one I'd probably go for the shade High Drama. Looks so extravagant!

Would you like to try this kind of lip colour or have you already tried it? Let me know in the comments!
