YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector

Oh, how I love finding luxurious and beautifully packaged beauty products under the Christmas tree and then discovering that they're amazing in use as well! Thanks to my aunt, who always brings me lovely gifts, I got my hands on this stunning Yves Saint Laurent Blur Perfector from their Touche Eclat line. Read on to find out what it does and how I like it!

The Blur Perfector is a rosy-shaded balm that looks quite like a highlighter, but works as a blurring, mattifying powder that gives you a cheeky glow as well. The package says there are three ways of applying it: alone as an all over perfector, to set make up, or as a mattifying touch up during the day to sweep up shininess and imperfections. I mostly use it in the last function, because it really covers my sometimes shiny skin and gives it a rosy, healthy but matte glow instead.

Though I love the result, it's not the easiest product in use. At first I really didn't want to touch it because the balm looked so smooth and I didn't want to ruin how pretty it looked! The Blur Perfector comes with an applicator, some sort of white cushion, but I don't like to use that because it's rough and it soaks up all the make up I'm wearing while trying to touch up my look with the balm. That's why I usually use the foundation brush from my Real Techniques core collection set which works perfectly.

What I like about this product is that it gives you a subtle touch up and really blurs out any shininess or unequalties when you apply it as an extra to your look. I apply it only on the oiliest parts of my face, which are my nose, the T-line above it and a little on my cheeks to give them a mattified rosy glow.

How do you like this product?
