5 hair products I can't live without

I love my hair, but sometimes I can get really angry at it as well. It's long, fairly straight and I do own enough of it. I don't have to straighten it every day or even blowdry. Yet, every now and then I enjoy using some of my favourite products to give my hair that extra touch or just give myself an overall pamper.

One of the first things I'll always grab at, would be some kind of hair oil. The one I love right now is the Kérastase Elixir Ultime, which not only smells like heaven, but also makes my hair really healthy and soft. I use it on my ends on the last day before I wash my hair because then they tend to dry out, or otherwise I just dispense it on my hair while it's still damp just to give it an extra moisture.

If I blowdry my hair, I don't ever do that without using my Redken Pillow Proof Blowdry Primer. As much as a blowdry primer sounds like a useless product, it really isn't. I can assure you that this one does exactly what it promises: it protects your hair against the heat, hydrates it and makes it dry faster. The last feature was one I just couldn't believe was true, but after using the product several times I really have to agree on that one!

Though my hair tends to be quite voluminous on the lower parts, the hair at my crown can get dull and slumped. That's why I sometimes add a bit of the L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Volume Lift Mousse. I usually wasn't a fan of mousses because they kind of ruined the softness of my hair and made me need to wash it right away again, but this one really is a winner. It just adds the right amount of volume, just to make your hairstyle a little bit more natural and lively.

Some days my hair can get really wild and just do its own kind of thing, mostly when I went to bed with freshly washed hair. Then my L'Oréal Professionnel Steampod is the solution. I hate using heat on my hair, it makes me feel bad and splits up my ends. But the Steampod is revolutionary and straightens my hair without making it feel unhealthy and unnatural, but soft and flourishing instead. It also helps when my hair gets really static, which happens a lot in Winter when I'm wearing woollen clothes or when the weather is changing. If you're not really into straightening your hair with a regular heating device, or you just want to try something else, I really recommend you to invest in a Steampod.

And since my hair is long and I sometimes get stressed out when I wear it down all the time and it's in my face and tickles my neck while I'm working or studying, I make an easy updo using my Invisibobbles. It doesn't painfully pull your hair back like normal elastics can do, and also makes your creation stable and flawless. I use them all the time, I always have one with me in case I have a ponytail emergency!
