Game-changing make-up bag essentials

It's funny to think that a year ago, I didn't do my make-up half as good as I do now. Cosmetics is a constantly changing world, and I learn new tricks everyday. I love it though, when people ask me for advice. It makes me feel uncomfortable in some way, because I'm not a professional at all. But it's such a lovely thing to share your own experiences and tricks with others! Today I'm sharing my number 1 essentials for every girl's make-up bag, because I think these things are just such game-changers for your beauty routine.
Starting with something really easy: a good BB cream. I see girls rushing over to using so much foundation everyday and it just really kills me that they never try using a BB cream for a natural, lighter look and a better feel on your skin. Don't get me wrong, I use foundation a lot, but some days/nights when I'm just hanging out or leaving the house for a little while, using some of my favourite Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector just feels so much easier.

However, whatever the occassion, I can't live without concealer. I am the worst person when it comes to dark circles under my eyes. Whenever I'm not wearing concealer, people go all like 'how bad did you sleep honey?'!! Also, working in a cosmetics store really made me realize what a game-changer concealer can be. Showing people the effect of a good concealer and seeing how shocked they are about how much more awake and bright they look with a little bit of a coverage and highlight under their eyes feels so good! I mostly use the Naked Skin concealer by Urban Decay. It's worth the investment, but I also like the SuperStay 24h by Maybelline for a budgetproof alternative.

Now to really get your base right, what you definitely need is a beauty blender. You do not have to invest in the original one, there are plenty of cheaper versions that are worth it up on the market. My favourites are the eggy one by H&M beauty and the Flawless Finish Blending Sponge by NYX. Make sure you get yourself a nice and soft one, that really bounces when you squeeze it, make it wet to enlargen and use it damp to blend in everything for a super natural finish. Beauty blenders are also perfect if you want to go and bake everything with loose powder.

One of the first things that got into my make-up bag was the MAC lip primer and it strucks me how many girls don't even use this. People ask me all the time how my lipstick stays so well on my lips, and next to not licking it off all the time, keeping your lips hydrated and primed is my best trick for this. The one by MAC is really a good one and it's a product that you can use for about a year even if you wear lipstick everyday like I do - not lying!

Last up, to open up your eyes, it's quite a good hint to use a lash curler before applying mascara. You don't have to get a very expensive one, they kind of all do the same trick. Mine is just from the H&M beauty section and I'm really satisfied about it. Don't be afraid - it might look like some kind of surgical murder weapon, but it makes your lashes look very goddess-like!

Do you have any more essentials?
