High-end beauty to invest in this season

As a big supporter of qualitative beauty and a non-shamer about spending a bit more money on a good product, I thought I just had to share my current favourite beauty items when it comes to the high-end market. Because designer makeup just makes every girl dream of Paris, runways and breakfast with croissants. No?

Everything starts with a good base, and lately I've been falling for the YSL Touche Eclat cushion foundation. To be honest, I hadn't tried the Touche Eclat before. This cushion version is the first thing I am testing from it. But oh lord, what a wonderfully dewy, yet perfectly measured coverage this gives. It's the perfect Summer product as well: a nice base for your bronze, and a handy on-the-go travel product.

If you're looking for a photo-perfect blusher that will add a subtle pop to your cheeks, I advice you to check out the Givenchy Perfecting Powder. The colours mixed together are just wonderful - the nude and bronze undertones in them are perfect on my sunkissed skin. I like to use a smaller blush brush to pop this on the apples of my cheeks.

And what would Summer be without a bright lip? I've been addicted to the Dior Lip Sugar Scrub as a lip base ever since I was on the hunt for it in Berlin to finally get my hands on it. At first I thought I was probably just getting it for how cute it looks and how dreamy it sounds, but hey, it really works! I often have some issues with my lips because I frequently wear lipstick. They're not really chapped but tend to be quite dry and messy somehow. The scrub and the care in this lip balm get rid of any of that, plus it tastes pleasantly minty.

To top off, I love the new Armani sheer lipsticks from the Front Row collection. I've got one in the shade Milano Pink and I find it perfect for Summer days on which I want a bit of colour on my lips but still keep them soft - this creamy finish is perfect for that.

What are your favourite picks at the moment?

  1. I really want to try the YSL cushion foundation and the Givenchy powder now, both looks amazing! Also pretty pictures.
