Adding nature to your Summer skin care

Come Summer, I always create this kind of intense love for all things natural. Healthy, vegetable food, tons of water, mind-clearing walks in the dunes... And natural skin care.

If it says botanical, I'm easily hooked. That's why I quickly fell for the new Garnier Skinactive botanical range. The moisturizing cream in the aloe scent is by far my favourite. It wakes up my complexion in the morning and gives me a fresh feeling and a great scent on the face all day long.

I seem to have a thing for aloe vera, because it's one of the ingredients of my current favourite body scrubs as well: the Kiehl's Coriander body exfoliator is my go to for a gentle scrub in my evening baths! I love how herbal it smells, it's very much a scent that I won't get sick of too easily. And it works magic on my skin, as the Summer heat dares to dry it out a bit. Plus, a good scrub will definetly help you get a much more even tan!

Although I was very sceptic about the scent of the Kiehl's Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream at first, I now use it on a nightly basis because it really does show effect. Especially when my skin has been feeling dull and dirty all day long, using this one before bed is a lifesaver. It's not the biggest one for moisturizing, that's why I never use it in the morning under my makeup, but it's not at all drying either. Instead it just smoothens dull-feeling skin and gives you a youthful glow in the morning.

Last but not least is a brand from my own soil. I love the philosophy behind Cîme, as they support local economy and work with biological ingredients. But I also love their For Your Hand Only hand cream. The apricot scent is very fresh but soft as well, and the texture is nourishing yet doesn't grease out your hands at all. It's the perfect little tube to keep in my hand bag for an on-the-go hand refreshment or I keep it on my desk to give my dry hands a nourish (and a little bit because I really like good-smelling hands!).
