Cleansers & makeup removers

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Cleansing Oil

MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CLEANSING OIL

Would recommend? Yes

A cleanser that never leaves my stash. It’s my go-to for makeup removal because of how quick and simple it is, while also smelling delicious and leaving my skin nourished and ultra-soft. For all skin types, ages and moods!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

ULTRA FACIAL CLEANSER

Would recommend? No

I don’t like foaming cleansers anyway so I would’ve never really gotten along with this one, but I find the Ultra Facial Cleanser especially stripping and drying and it doesn’t spread well over the face.

Serums

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE

Would recommend? Yes

This is my most repurchased product ever. It’s such a nice and effective oil and really something I look forward to in the evening. Smells lovely and relaxing, revives the skin and absorbs very well. If you’re looking for something simple but deeply nourishing to use in the evening this is your go-to, no matter your skin type.

POWERFUL-STRENGTH LINE REDUCING CONCENTRATE

Would recommend? Not for everyone

I found this one to be very soft and easy to spread, but it works best on dry, mature skin and less on sensitive or oily skin. It felt quite prickly and made me really red, which makes it less interesting to use in the morning. And I also felt like it made my skin more oily. However, I can’t really say anything about its effect on fine lines as I’m basically still a baby.

DAILY REVIVING CONCENTRATE

Would recommend? Yes

This is not an oil I will go to at all times and I wouldn’t repurchase just because I’ve found others that work better for me, but that doesn’t mean this one isn’t good. It’s very high in antioxidants which makes it great to use in the morning. You just need a tiny bit for lots of hydration so a little goes a long way. Mix one drop with your cream or foundation for an extra glowy finish.

Moisturisers

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

ULTRA FACIAL CREAM

Would recommend? Yes

I really like this cream as a simple, everyday moisturiser. It’s one I usually travel with because I can use it both morning and night (often mixed with a little drop of oil – know me!) and it’s never too light or too heavy. Good for all skin types and easy to layer the more you need.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream SPF

ULTRA FACIAL CREAM SPF 30

Would recommend? No

I bought this one on the lookout for a good daily SPF, and as I love the original Ultra Facial Cream I thought this one would be as good. But I feel like it wasn’t for me. A bit too sticky and smells quite odd. Good to travel with or for summer but not recommended for a daily pick.

Kiehl's Glow Formula Skin Hydrator

GLOW FORMULA SKIN HYDRATOR

Would recommend? Yes

This is one of my all-time favourite skin care products and (along with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate) the Kiehl’s product I recommend the most. It’s a very gentle moisturiser that gives a true boost of hydration and glow. I feel like I look a lot less alive when I haven’t used this in the morning! Use as a moisturiser on its own or mix in with your favourite add-up. Works perfect as a primer for makeup too, especially when there’s quite some time between your morning skin care and your makeup routine – adds the hydration you need right before!

Eye creams

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment

CREAMY EYE TREATMENT WITH AVOCADO

Would recommend? Yes

An eye cream that is deeply nourishing and works very well in the evening. I wouldn’t recommend it for mornings because it’s so rich and a bit harder to spread, but I feel like in the evening it’s perfect for a well-hydrated yet soft feel under the eyes.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye

MIDNIGHT RECOVERY EYE

Would recommend? Yes

I prefer this one slightly over the Avocado Eye because it’s a bit lighter and spreads a lot more easily. I feel like the skin under my eyes literally absorbs all the goodness in this and it leaves it smooth and hydrated. However, it’s a bit more pricey than the Avocado Eye!

Masks

Kiehl's Calendula & Aloe Mask

CALENDULA & ALOE SOOTHING HYDRATION MASK

Would recommend? Yes

I call this one a ‘hangover mask’ because it’s so refreshing and hydrating when used in the morning! Especially nice when your skin is looking a bit dull and tired. I wouldn’t say it delivers incredible results hydration-wise, but it does boost your skin with freshness and gives some life to your complexion.

Kiehl's Turmeric & Cranberry Mask

TURMERIC & CRANBERRY SEED ENERGIZING RADIANCE MASK

Would recommend? Yes

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this when you’re looking for radiance, but I felt like it did well as a purifying mask instead. It has a lovely, soft clay-like texture and a comfortable smell and little grains that allow you to physically exfoliate a little when washing it off.

Lip care

LIP BALM #1

Would recommend? No

It’s a nice and simple lip balm, easy to keep in your bag but not really something I would repurchase or recommend. I also found it a bit too gel-like and stiff – I prefer something more oil-balmy on my lips.

Kiehl's Buttermask For Lips

BUTTERMASK FOR LIPS

Would recommend? Yes

A bit weird in the beginning because it’s quite a solid formula, but just warm a bit up with your fingers and apply a generous amount for a lovely, white chocolate-scented feel right before bed.

Kiehl's Butterstick LIp Treatment Naturally Nude

TINTED BUTTERSTICK LIP TREATMENT

Would recommend? Yes

Not really something you need, but very nice to have. Especially if you like a subtle hint of colour on the lips. I don’t necessarily find these very hydrating but I do like to use the shade Naturally Nude when I want to give something extra to my look but not add a lipstick – it just gives a bit of colour and a tiny sheen. I also have the shade Simply Rose which is a bit more red and nice for summer and autumn, and Peony which I feel is a bit too pink for me.

Hair & body

Kiehl's Creme De Corps

CREME DE CORPS

Would recommend? Yes

One of my most-used body moisturisers because it’s so simple, hydrating and soft, doesn’t have an overpowering smell and absorbs very, very well.

Kiehl's Gently Exfoliating Body Scrub

GENTLY EXFOLIATING BODY SCRUB

Would recommend? Yes

Ah, this one! I had the one with Coriander and it was amazing. More like a scrub paste, so very mild and not at all irritating or harsh. I love the texture of this, the practical big pot and the scent. Perfect if you don’t like thick salt scrubs.
