RMS Beauty Living Luminizer

I’ve been embracing a natural makeup look these days, looking for nothing but a fresh and healthy glow. I just love how effortless and good it makes you look. Some really good skin care and a dewy-finish foundation can do a lot already, but about a month ago I met my dream product for glowy skin: the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer. You might’ve already spotted it in my glowy skin video, but I wanted to write a full review on here as well!

What it is

The RMS Living Luminizer is a multi-use cream product. It’s most likely used as a highlighter, to catch the light on your cheekbones, browbones, nose and cupid’s bow. You can also use it on your eyelids to brighten up a smokey eye or as a quick pop of light. At the shop, they recommended me to use it on my lips if I want to add some glow to a matte lipstick.

RMS talk about a ‘translucent, satin-pearl finish’, which I agree on. The product doesn’t really give any colour or shimmer, just a really fresh and dewy glow.

The ingredients in the Living Luminizer are all based on the raw food principal, which means they are not killed by adding heat and chemicals.

Who it’s for

Everyone who loves a really good glow on the skin. Especially if you’re like me and you prefer your makeup to look like skin, staying away from shimmer and glitter. If you embrace natural makeup, in both the look and the ingredients, this will be your pal. However, if you’re into a full face of matte makeup or you’re looking for that Insta-strobe highlight, this is not for you.

I also think the shade of the Living Luminizer is very universal and would give a beautiful glow to any skin tone, from really fair to really dark.

When I use it

I use the Living Luminizer literally every time I do my makeup. Often I’ll finish up a really simple makeup look with it to make my skin look a bit more fresh. But I could easily use it in heavier makeup looks as well.

Why I like it

  • It gives you a lit-from-within look, very glowy, dewy and luminous
  • It’s perfect to make you look a little bit more healthy and alive on no-makeup makeup days
  • It’s natural and organic, with no trace of chemicals or toxic elements
  • The packaging is really small and convenient for travelling or to pop in your handbag
  • You can apply it quickly and easily using just your fingers
  • It’s quite moisturizing and good for your skin as well, thanks to the beautiful ingredients list

What could be better

I wouldn’t change a thing. I love everything about the product, its packaging, the results and the brand. The price range is on the higher side (€42), but I don’t think it is too overpriced for an organic product and considering how much use you get out of it.

About RMS Beauty

The founder of RSM Beauty, Rose-Marie Swift, has been working as a makeup artist for over 35 years. After struggling with physical and mental health issues, she began doing research and had a series of tests done. Rose-Marie found that her blood contains toxic levels of heavy metals like aluminium, barium, cadmium, lead and mercury, as well as pesticides and chemicals. Shockingly, her work in the cosmetics industry played a big role in the presence of these toxins. Rose-Marie had a new goal: to create healthy beauty. RMS, after her initials, was born.

RMS focus on choosing the right ingredients that will not only make a good makeup product, but that will also be in dialogue with the skin. They call themselves “skin care with a mineral colour”. Their products contain raw ingredients, meaning they’re not over-processed or heated in order to maintain their functionality and natural source.

They’re known for their little glass pots (recyclable and reusable!), containing cream products in a balm-like texture such as the Luminizers, the Eye Polishes and the Lip2Cheeks.

RMS do not test on animals! 🐰

In short, their products are good for your skin and good for the planet.

You can find RMS Beauty in Skins Cosmetics (Ghent) or on the following webshops: Skins, Plume, Alice & White.
