Herbivore Jasmine Green Tea toner

Although I love every part of my skin care routine, I do feel a specific joy whenever I use a mist. The immediate replenishment of a spritz makes me feel incredibly fresh and indulged in good ingredients. Especially when it’s this one: the Herbivore Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner. It’s hydrating and soothing yet also balancing and blemish fighting, so right up my street. Let’s get on to my full review of this beautiful toner!

What it is

The Herbivore Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner is a botanical blend of good, natural ingredients. It’s a toning mist that you use right after cleansing or even throughout the day for a little boost of refreshment.

The key ingredients of the Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner are nourishing jasmine water and antioxidant green tea extract. Another important ingredient is white willow bark, which is naturally high in salicylic acid and helps to fight blemishes and unclog pores. Finally, witch hazel helps to gently tone the skin.

Full ingredients list found on the website: Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Flower Water, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Glycerin/Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Leuconostoc/ (Leucidal) Radish Root Ferment Fillrate, Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Avena (Oat Avenanthramide) sativa Kernel Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract

Who it’s for

With its blemish fighting white willow bark, the Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner is great for the oily and blemish-prone skin. The antioxidant green tea extract makes it a powerful anti-aging toner as well, as it eliminates toxins and environmental damage and therefore reveals healthy, youthful, glowing skin.

However, as it still contains soothing and hydrating ingredients, this toner is not drying or harsh at all. I think it could be used by any skin type.

When I use it

All the time, to be honest. I often crave it right after taking a shower or bath, when my skin feels tight and needs a fresh drink. But it’s just a nice part of my overall skin care routine, used in between cleansing and a serum/moisturizer.

Why I like it

  • It’s balancing, so it controls my oily skin without drying it out
  • The scent is wonderful, but not at all overpowering
  • It’s filled with healthy, skin-loving ingredients
  • It’s all-natural, vegan and cruelty-free
  • It gives my skin a quick, powerful pickup whenever it’s feeling a bit dull or tight
  • Admit it: the packaging is ultra instagrammable
  • It comes in a smaller, travel-friendly size which is super handy to pop in your handbag or as an in-flight refreshment

What could be better

Nothing, to be honest!
