My favourite places to shop conscious beauty

Since I’ve dived into the world of more conscious beauty, I’ve been discovering a lot of new stores and online shops that I previously would’ve never discovered. And because I love supporting those so much, I thought I’d share a list of all my favourites in this blog post. From physical stores in Belgium and beyond to the best places to score conscious beauty online.

Conscious beauty in Belgium

Blos Shop

A beautiful place filled with gorgeous brands and the loveliest atmosphere. Kim Maes is a makeup artist who became a clean beauty advocate and now runs her own store. Blos was initially a webshop, but now also has a physical store in Hasselt. Definitely a must-do when you’re around the city!

Where: Dokter Willemsstraat 16 in Hasselt and on blos-shop.com

Brands to shop: Susanne Kaufmann, Ilia, Kosas, Josh Rosebrook, Grown Alchemist …

Fin du Jour

I love stopping by Fin du Jour whenever I’m in Ghent, Antwerp or Courtrai. Not only because I used to work there (so it’s a moment to say hello to my former colleagues), but mostly because of the wide range of clean beauty brands they offer. Especially the exclusive ones which are hard to get anywhere else.

Where: Vlaanderenstraat 80 in Ghent, Doorniksewijk 11 in Courtrai, Nationalestraat 37 in Antwerp and on findujour.com

Brands to shop: OUAI, Tata Harper, Oskia, Omorovicza, RMS, Jane Iredale …

Skins Cosmetics

Originally a Dutch chain of beauty boutiques, Skins Cosmetics can also be found on the Korenmarkt in Ghent. And I never skip it when I’m around. The aesthetics of the store always leave me in awe and the products they offer are so luxurious!

Where: Korenmarkt 16 in Ghent and on.skins.nl

Brands to shop: REN skincare, Ellis Faas, Kjaer Weis, Laura Mercier …

Conscious beauty online

Eminessences

A webshop I’ll never get tired of. Emi is a good friend of mine and is always ready to give you advice on the product you’re looking for. Her beautiful range of natural and organic cosmetics keeps surprising me, with new and unique brands that you might’ve never heard of.

Where: eminessences.com (shipping worldwide)

Brands to shop: Herbivore Botanicals, Korento, Lena Wild, Wabi-Sabi …

Babassu

Although this is actually a chain of physical stores and spas in The Netherlands, I love to scroll through their webshop as well to discover a few brands that are hard to get in Belgium. If ever I find myself in Amsterdam, Leiden, Den Haag or Wassenaar I’ll definitely stop by, but for now my online basket is filled to the rim.

Where: babassu.nl (shipping to The Netherlands and Belgium)

Brands to shop: Nudestix, Pixi, Oribe, Perricone MD …

Conscious beauty on holiday

Is there anything more exciting than discovering the local gems when you’re on holiday? I spent most of my pre-holiday time researching the shops I want to visit when I’m off to a city location. That’s for instance how I discovered Alice & White, a super cute eco-beauty shop in Stockholm that is owned by the most lovely ladies who are always there to advise you. Whenever I’m in France, Italy or any other country that has a Sephora, I always drop by as well to discover their collection of conscious beauty brands like Fresh and Farmacy.

Where do you shop for conscious beauty? Let me know!
